From amazing Mudshark beer, to a course that felt like you were riding on the moon, to phenomenal volunteers, to outstanding local support – Havasu rocked! We had a great turn out, and race reviews. We look forward to re-visiting Havasu in 2015. Special thanks to Craig Raney (Attack the Crack – this fall same course longer ride), Larry (the stand up paddle king), to Mark (rodeo grounds guy) Elaine from the CVB, and all of the other local support. Thank you!

With a new venue comes new challenges – lodging, logistics etc. We as a board, are working diligently on getting Havasu set up all the last minute details finalized for the trip west this weekend. Thanks for your patience. Here is the latest:
- Havasu Course Map 2014 – Black course (~10 miles) will be clockwise, Green arrows (~3 miles) will be counter clockwise.
- Camping – allowed starting Thursday – at the RODEO GROUNDS only, and we may need you to move as we will use that area to stage the event – so be flexible till we arrive on Friday afternoon please. Tent camping is ok. No RV hookups.
- Host Hotel – Quality Inn & Suites – 271 S. Lake Havasu Ave, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 928-855-1111 (*ask for MBAA special rate please). $70+ tax, includes free breakfast.
- Mudshark Brewing – 25% off with your race number at the pub!
We had over 500 riders out at White Tanks, which was about 100 more than 2013 – THANK YOU! We are excited about the increase in participation and see some new blood (literally and figuratively) at the events. We know most of you will be headed down to Epic Rides 24hrs in the Old Pueblo – we hope you all ride safe and have a great time. After OP, we will then be heading out to Lake Havasu – our first time at that venue.

Lastly, we will have t-shirts for anyone that raced the first 2 events – all others we will trade for cash/credit card. Sign up online til midnight Friday, else sign up on Saturday in person. See you soon.
