McDowell Mountain Regional Park is arguably the home XC race course for many AZ mountain bike events. The course was home to the Cactus Cup back in the early 90’s and features classic desert riding with short climbs, tight turns, and cactus galore. The course for the MARC event is staged out of the Four Peaks Competition lot, features Cinch, Escondido, Pemberton and a few other new trails. This is a fun team relay event that everyone can enjoy!
McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Shea Blvd. to Fountain Hills Blvd. (into Fountain Hills), Arizona. Follow Fountain Hills Blvd. until it becomes McDowell Mountain Road. Continue 4 miles to the park entrance on your LEFT.
Camping will be in the FOUR PEAKS staging area (on your right opposite Competitive track) – which is also where the event will be hosted.
Food – Ralph’s Snackbar will be onsite with fresh coffee, burritos and other grub!
Categories will be as follows – all Relay teams are 4 (four) person.
Male – Team must consist of four men of any racing age.
45+ Men – All four team members must have a racing age of at least 45 years old.
Junior Men – All four team members can not have a racing age over 18 years old.
Female –Team must consist of four women of any racing age.
45+ Women – All four team members must have a racing age of at least 45 years old.
Junior Women – All four team members can not have a racing age over 18 years old.
Mixed - Team must consist of two men and two women – any racing age.
Full Monty – Team of four must consist of:
Junior (1 male or 1 female, racing age no older than 18)
Male (1 of any racing age)
45+ (1 male or 1 female, must have a racing age of at least 45 years old
Female (1 of any racing age).
Lemans style start – means you run to your bike, short distance, like less than 400 yards.
Each rider will complete 1 lap, once Rider 1 is done, they will tag their teammate to start Rider 2 on lap 2.
All teams will complete 4 laps.
All 4 team members must ride.
Points for MBAA Big Ring and Little Ring teams will count 2x to team points.
Points will be awards to MBAA teams based on their respective position within MBAA teams only.
Points will NOT be awarded to individuals for series scoring.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
6:30p til 8:30p – Registration & Check in – all team members MUST check in (waivers folks, waivers)
This will be onsite at the 4 Peaks Staging area (across from Competitive loops parking)
START TIME – 7:00am ALL RIDERS!
