Race Format:
Enduro racing is made up of multiple timed descents. Riders will follow a specific route to get to the start of each stage, some by pedal others by chair lift. After all the stages are completed, a rider’s combined time will determine their overall placing on the day.

Knee pads, elbow pads, and a full face helmet are strongly recommended. A trail bike with 120+ mm of travel and a dropper seat post is encouraged.

General Information:
Mingus Mountain is located 15-miles north east of Prescott Valley up hwy 89A just before dropping into Jerome.

Camping/Lodging:
Tent/Car Camping – Mingus Mountain Campground is open for participants to camp in. $10 per night. Please pay at self pay station. There is also free dispersed camping throughout Mingus Mountain.

$100 until 9 AM on race day

Course Info:

Stages

  • Stage 1: Gaddes Canyon (9037)
    • Transfer to stage 1: Left (east) out of Playground Campground, ride past lake and Methodist Church Camp. Right towards Mingus Lookout. Veer left onto trail 110 to gate and start.
  • Stage 2: 28
    • Transfer to stage 2: After finishing stage 1, turn right on FR 413 and pedal 6 miles to 28 trailhead. Note: go past stage 3 turnoff.
  • Stage 3: 111
    • Transfer to stage 3: From the bottom of 28, turn left and climb 533. After going through gate you will pop out onto FR 105. Continue straight to FR 413, make a left and climb 1-mile up to stage 2 start.
  • Return to finish: From the bottom of stage 3, turn left onto FR 105, left onto FR413 to pavement and make right to get back to Playground Campground.

Important Notes

  • 9:00 AM Rider’s Sendoff at Playgorund Campground
    • Number plate pickup Sat. 3-5 pm & Sun. 8-9 am
    • Everyone needs to pickup a new # plate each race
  • Riders will go off in 30-sec intervals
  • Computer countdown 5 4 3 2 1 (leave on go!)
  • No shuttling on race day
