This weekend is National Trails Day and the Barn Burner and both events need volunteers!
National Trails Day is on the new Kelly Multi-use trail system. This project is really important to the Coconino Trail Riders motorcycle club. These guys have been attending non-motorized National Trails Day events for the past decade, and they have also worked as course marshals on a couple of MBAA races which was a great help in light of some of the course sabotage that was happening at the time. The sections of trail scheduled for National Trails Day might not make the best mountain biking, (sandy soils), but we should be good sports and help these guys out on their big event. There should eventually be some sections of the Kelly Trails Project that will be great for mountain biking as it will be 52 miles of single track when complete. Click below for details.
NOTE – starting NOW, trail hours can be logged for the 2014 season, we just updated the linkity, link.
Also, the Barn Burner folks need people to serve beer. Proceeds from this event will go to Flagstaff Biking Organization. Email to let them know if you can help with this. SWeber@lifetimefitness.com and casey@redrockco.com
