Time to start planning your 2017 race season!

First timer? Come give it at try, you won’t be alone. Juniors, gain race experience and make some new friends. Weekend Warriors, battle it out with your buds, we’ve adjusted the age brackets. Elite & Veteran Racers, we’ve got some new venues and courses to keep things interesting.

Take your best 5 of 6 races for a chance at the series overall, all races equal points.

2017 Schedule

January 14 – McDowell Meltdown
January 28 – Estrella Hedgehog Hustle
February 11 – Lake Havasu Havoc
March 25 – White Tank Whirlwind
April 15 – Prescott Punisher
May 13 – Flagstaff Frenzy
May 14 – Super D*
June 3 – Flagstaff Team Relay*

* Series points not awarded

Changes & Additions:

We have added an Intermediate SS category which will race a shorter distance than the Expert SS category.

We have also adjusted the beginner and intermediate age groups so they align, making it easier to upgrade and remain in the same age group (19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+).

With the increasing number of junior races, we’ve broken the categories into 2 year age groups and added a 6-8 category. This will help shrink the gap between kids on the younger/older side of their respective categories. Junior categories will consist of 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.

Lastly, we will again offer a discount (excluding juniors, you only pay $20 per race) when registering for the entire MBAA series before Jan. 12 2017 ($200 for 6 races + a free t-shirt). Begin by clicking on the Arizona Reg link below, then Register Now and check all 6 races, then use coupon “MBAA2017Series” at checkout.

  • Start times and lap counts are subject to change
  • Flagstaff & Prescott course maps are not yet available
  • The team relay event will be a stand alone event this year occurring June 3, 2017
  • All proceeds from the Super D will again go towards the Flagstaff Bike Organization

We look forward to seeing you out at the races in 2017!

Review Your Volunteer Hours

Posted: May 16, 2016 by MBAA in News/Updates

Please review your volunteer hours! If you’re in the running for a series championship you need 5 hours in order to be eligible. Don’t be caught on the podium without enough volunteer hours.

If you see any issues with the below volunteer sheets (or don’t see your hours listed) don’t panic! There’s still time to Submit Trail Hours. Or shoot us a message at and we’ll get it sorted.

Need more hours, sign up to volunteer at the Flagstaff Frenzy.
