RULES – ENDURO SERIES

General Rules

  1. Participation and Registration:
    • All participants must register before or at the event.
    • All riders must have a number plate attached to the front of their bike. No number plate, no result.
  2. Categories:
    • Categories include Expert, Amateur, Masters, U21, Youth & Beginner divisions for both men and women. E-bike categories may be included if permitted by the venue.
  3. Equipment:
    • Helmets are mandatory at all times while riding. A full face is encouraged.
    • Knee, elbow, chest and hip pads are encouraged.
    • If an E-bike category is offered, only class 1 E-bikes are allowed. No modifications.
    • Riders must complete all stages on the same bike.
    • A rider may receive support from another rider, spectator or return to their vehicle between stages to fix their bike.
  4. Parents
    • Parents of 10-12 riders may drop in after all other 10-12 riders have gone.
    • Parents must sign a waiver if they plan to be riding on course.

Race Format

  1. Stages:
    • Each event will consist of multiple timed stages, primarily downhill, and untimed liaison stages.
    • Riders must complete all stages to be considered for final ranking.
    • Rides must complete the stages in the prescribed order.
  2. Timing:
    • Professional chip timing will be used for accuracy.
    • Riders must start in their wave category unless given special instructions by the race director.
  3. Course Marking:
    • Courses will be marked with arrows, course tape and signage.
    • Deviating from the marked course is grounds for disqualification.
    • It is the rider’s responsibility to look at the map beforehand and know the route.

Safety and Conduct

  1. Medical:
    • On-site medical support will be available.
  2. Sportsmanship:
    • Unsportsmanlike behavior is prohibited.
  3. Environmental Respect:
    • Littering and damage to the environment are prohibited.

Penalties and Protests

  1. Penalties:
    • Infractions such as cutting the course, unsportsmanlike conduct, or safety violations may result in disqualification.
  2. Protests:
    • Protests must be submitted within 15 minutes of the provisional results posting at the venue.
    • The race director’s decision is final.

Scoring and Results

  1. Scoring:
    • The lowest cumulative time of all timed stages determines the winner.
  2. Results:
    • Results will be posted online after the event.
    • Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each category.
    • Cash payout awarded to the top 3 Expert Men & Expert Women.
