We (no, I) shut down trail hour submittal, and volunteer sign up.  Quite simply we have enough volunteers for Flag as it stands today and your trail work should have been submitted at the latest after the weekend.  Don’t get us wrong, we appreciate the work, but we need to get things dialed for Saturday.

We have tees being printed, pizza on order, trophies for the Big and little teams and the series to wrap up.  A Vassago frame will be given away, and state titles are on the line.  There should be some good team points (and individual) on the line.  See you soon –

ps – Don’t forget about the Super D on Sunday – proceeds to FBO – LIMITED SLOTS!

Most of us know Tom Ament as an avid single speeder, fast guy.  Did you know he brought Vassago Cycles back to life?  The guy has passion, and is driven to succeed.  Similarly he wants to help grow the sport of mountain biking.  To that end, Vassago Cycles will be the official sponsor of the Single Speed category (men and women) for the 2014 (and hopefully beyond) season.  Expect rad schwag and…get this….if you race in 4 or more events, you qualify to win a free frame from Vassago!  Yep.  One lucky rider will get a FREE Vassago frame, randomly selected from among all the single speed riders that competed in 4 or more single speed races in the series.  Time to drop the gears, or better yet, pick up a new steed from Vassago!

ADDED BONUS – MBAA members will be able to get a 10% discount on frames at local Vassago dealers and online!

Whoa….series is coming to a close quickly…we are playing catch up and just about on your wheel.  Time to tell you whats up…eblast coming tomorrow but here is the short version:

  • Volunteer hours updated as of 01MAY – found Estrella hours and those are logged.
  • Trail hours – verified and updated as of 01MAY – still some dates looming.
  • Ensure you meet your mins to be able to win the series –
  • Volunteer and/or trail hour minimums – Individual 4 hrs, Big Ring 40 hrs, Little Ring 20hrs (total per team)
  • Series Scoring – updated – any issues – contact Center Point Events/Chasing 3

If you don’t meet the mins, you don’t win the series.  That simple.  Yes, you can still get hours at Flagstaff, but we URGE you to get them on the upcoming trail work days, and if you need to, at the finals – but sign up ASAP to get that knocked out!
